What is Corona Virus?

Coronaviruses constitute a viral family notable for harboring strains that can lead to potentially fatal illnesses. Among humans, they are usually transmitted through airborne droplets of fluid produced by infected individuals.

In 2019, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) initiated surveillance of a fresh coronavirus outbreak, resulting in the respiratory ailment now recognized as COVID-19. This virus was initially identified in Wuhan, China. In the last three months, it has extended its reach from China to every continent on Earth except Antarctica.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has officially categorized this as a pandemic.
